The Malawi Female Leadership Toolkit has been developed to support the growth and advancement of women leaders within the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. It serves as a practical resource designed to upskill and reskill female lecturers and leaders by providing accessible tools, guidance, and insights to strengthen leadership practice.

This toolkit brings together a range of practical leadership tools and reflective exercises to support both personal and professional development. It is structured around four key areas: personal effectiveness, interpersonal excellence, organisational performance, and ethical and inclusive leadership. These areas are designed to help users build self-awareness, strengthen their ability to lead and manage others, and effectively drive change within their institutions and the wider TVET system.

Through engaging with this toolkit, women leaders are encouraged to reflect on their leadership journey, identify their strengths and areas for development, and build the confidence and skills needed to lead with purpose and impact. The toolkit also supports leaders to adopt ethical and inclusive approaches, ensuring that their leadership contributes to a more equitable and sustainable education sector in Malawi.

Ultimately, this resource aims to empower female leaders in the TVET sector to play a meaningful role in advancing institutional performance and supporting Malawi’s broader development ambitions.
